It’s been a while since I posted. I’ve been a tad busy, but I thought the 2015 IFMAR 1/10 Off Road World Championship would be a nice topic to get me back into the swing.
2WD has concluded, but since tomorrow is just a registration day for 4WD, I thought I’d offer some of my thoughts on each manufacturers’ performances so far. It’s been a topsy-turvy affair so far, with more development news than one can keep up with, and a ridiculous amount of on-track stories to keep everyone going.
I’ll keep this article short and sweet, because I, like many others, are still trying to fathom the events that took place in Yatabe Arena. The RC world is in shock and awe at the fairy tale story that unfolded before us all.
Flawless. Sublime. Faultless. Magical. Breathtaking. Inspiring.
Spencer Rivkin, Worlds debutant, 16 years old - your 2015 IFMAR 1/10 Off Road 2WD World Champion.

Been into R/C stuff for a while now, never been able to handle actual racing. Always sucked at it, I just end up becoming that guy spinning again/moving chicane, unless it’s on a small dirt oval. That I can be at least (edit:be) on pache in. My hat is off to young master spencer and his championship.

I’ll cover some of the stuff Associated brought with them tomorrow. Tebo was in a class of his own in terms of raw pace, but Spencer just looked dialed from the very first practice session onwards.

I’m a nitro guy myself, but last winter even though there wasn’t an indoor track near me I was really close to buying a B5 or B5M, was on the fence about which to get and ultimately never bought one.
